Match Format

Game Type

All games are Cricket (American rules).

Matches and League Nights

• Each match is 1 round of Cricket with a 30-minute time limit.
• Each team plays at least 3 matches per night, with up to 30 minutes per match.
• The team that wins best 2 out of 3 wins the night.

Teams

Rosters

• A team needs at least 3 players present to play.
• The league may assign free agents to teams with fewer than 4 players.

Forfeits

• A team must have 3 players present to avoid a forfeit.
• To avoid a $25 forfeit fee, notify jacquelyn.fssleague@gmail.com at least 24 hours before game time.
• Forfeit fees buy the opposing team beer for their no-show inconvenience. 🍻

Playoffs

Teams must have at least 1 woman from their roster present during playoff matches.

Game Play

Throwing Order

• All games are played on the same dartboard for the full match.
• Captains (or a designated player) play one round of Rock-Paper-Scissors to decide which team throws first.
• No player may throw more than 3 darts in a row.

Throwing Rules

Players must throw:

• standing with both feet on the ground, and
• from behind the designated throw line.

Violations:

1. First infraction: warning.
2. Second infraction: loss of throw. Any darts thrown during the violation do not count.

A dart counts only if it stays in the board for at least 3 seconds.

Scoring

Numbers and Marks

The numbers in play are 20, 19, 18, 17, 16, 15, and the bullseye. Each one must be hit 3 times (3 marks) to close it.

• Numbers may be closed in any order.
• Players do not need to call their shots.

Winning a Game

• The first team to close all numbers wins, and the game ends.
• If the 30-minute time limit runs out first, the team with the most marks on the board wins.
